Sam Cherniak Joins Quinn+Partners

Sam Cherniak, Consultant, Toronto

Sam has over seven years of experience in the environmental and climate change sector. He has worked with a diverse range of clients spanning financial institutions, asset managers and owners, real estate, infrastructure, power generation, mining and agriculture.

“I am incredibly excited to join such a high performing team and eager to bring a additional strength on climate risk and resilience to the firm, leveraging Q+P’s expertise and resources to drive meaningful change and deliver outstanding value to our clients.”

Prior to Q+P, Sam worked at Toronto Dominion Bank where he developed capabilities in climate data, ESG credit risk evaluation, climate scenario analysis and greenhouse gas accounting. He also led physical climate risk and scenario analysis for an asset manager’s portfolio in a previous role at WSP. With experience as a project manager and technical lead, Sam holds an MA. Sc. in Civil Engineering and a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. He is an Engineer in Training with the Professional Engineers of Ontario and conducted research on microplastics as an emerging contaminant during his graduate studies.
