Quinn+Partners Releases 2024 Pay Equity Data

For a third year, we are pleased to share Quinn+Partners (Q+P)’s pay equity data in honour of International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated earlier this month. A fair and inclusive workplace is one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We believe that when people who identify as women are treated respectfully and equitably, it not only empowers them but also drives organizational growth and well-being.

Gender Pay Gap Still a Concern

The gender wage gap in Canada has declined since 2007. However, women continue to earn less than men across various sectors and demographics. In 2022, women in Canada earned approximately 9% less on average than their male counterparts,[1] compared with 31.5% globally.[2] Importantly, the gender wage gap is even wider for racialized women, women who are newcomers, women with disabilities, Indigenous women and women who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQI+ community.[3],[4] According to the World Economic Forum, it will take 133 years to reach full gender parity at the current rate of progress.

Q+P’s Commitment to Pay Equity

At Q+P, we actively work toward eliminating pay discrimination and offer equal opportunities across our team. As a female-founded company, we are proud that 60% of our Leadership Team are women, and over two-thirds of our dynamic team is also made up of skilled, driven and accomplished women.

For transparency and accountability, below is a summary of our latest fiscal year of pay equity data.

These figures reflect our dedication to pay equity, with a stable ratio over time and small differences stemming from the lack of standardized tenure and mid-year promotions.  Behind the numbers lies a company committed to continuous improvement and doing things differently, strengthened by a network of allies across all levels and genders, united by our mission.

A Call to Action

We want every woman who considers a career with Q+P to be assured of our commitment to equitable treatment and non-discrimination — and the data proves it. We strongly urge jobseekers to ask their potential employers to disclose their pay equity figures. We also invite fellow employers to openly share their data to foster transparency and eradicate gender inequality.

Let’s accelerate the momentum for equal pay and opportunity for all women.

Happy International Women’s Day!

About International Women’s Day

IWD originated in the early twentieth century, rooted in labour movements and the push for women’s rights. The first official celebration took place on March 19, 1911, in several European countries, advocating for gender equality, better working conditions and the right to vote. In 1977, the United Nations officially recognized March 8 as IWD, promoting global awareness of gender inequality and celebrating women’s achievements.[5]
